What does Sleepatwork.com exist for?
OK: It's a documentation of our thoughts, our platform to communicate with others.
FOR: Visual indulgence.

Are you guys web designers 1st and foremost or something else?
OK: We wouldn't say we’re web designer, we’re just working in the design field.

What other stuff do you do that is outside from Sleepatwork? OK: Eating, sleeping, waiting, and playing. FOR: Nothing else special really.

What do you think the Internet has to offer that television doesn’t? FOR: 24-7 unlimited selection of entertainment and information. OK: All I need is a good remote.

Elaborate a little on what Generalaudio™ and the project 60 seconds is about.
OK: The preliminary idea of generalaudio™ was that it branches as an audio division of

Sleepatwork, releasing tracks that made by our friends and us, as well as other talented artists. One of the pros of an online music label is that you can not worry about your marketing strategy, allowing full concentration on the creative side of things. We then developed 60 seconds, our project off Generalaudio™ experimenting the possibilities of online creative exchange. The rules are simple, we are open to anyone who wants to submit a 60 second audio/visual file to us. The files will be posted on the site for downloading, remixing, and further development. We take this project as an experiment to explore the possibilities of online audio/visual community collaboration.

What are the stuff that inspires you to do what you do? OK: I really don't know what "stuff " that inspires me, but I do admire the works from Joshua Davis, Ryan McGinness, Geoff McFetridge, M/M Paris, Jemma Gura, Mike Cina. FOR: DHKY.com is the first site that amazed me and inspired me to make my own website.

How do you think Hong Kong’s creative scene will be like 5 years from now?
FOR: I am optimistic about it. More and more people are starting to be aware of the arts. Design is penetrating our lives from fashion design to interior decoration and product design. I think art and design in Hong Kong will be much more sophisticated 5 years down the road.

Sleepatwork, an outfit based in Hong Kong came about from both OK_Static and Forrivermann’s general concern about the unhealthy sleep habits of modern day designers, which is ironic since they both love their sleep so much.

OK: Let's hope the general public will pay more respect to the scene, right now, the whole creative scene in Hong Kong comes across as just another consumer culture. It’s like the last IdN favourite conference in Hong Kong, the local press had over emphasised it as a hip event but I wonder how many attendees will truly appreciate and respect the work of the speakers not just being attracted by the limited exclusive bullshit. I would love to see M/M Paris, James Jarvis, Michael C. Build and others there but I know I'll be hopping mad seeing half of the crowd as being trend followers, so I worked at home instead of going.
